An Open-Letter From The IT Department
As Mueller grows and matures we have implemented
new and exciting technologies to decrease time service, improve
quality-of-service, and lower costs.
The goal of these technologies is to attract new
customers and exceed the expectations of our current customers with a fast,
efficient, high-quality, and low-cost solution to their inspection needs.
As we become more reliant on our IT ('Information
Technology') Department to facilitate this transition, limited resources force
us to realize each department must be as productive as possible. .NET
(pronounced: 'dot net') is a relatively new technology from Microsoft that will
allow the IT department to do just that. Unfortunately, as we migrate from
existing technologies to .NET there may be some growing pains. During this time
we ask for your patience, and feedback.
.NET will make our website faster and more
efficient. It will let us make changes faster, and implement new features at a
much more rapid pace than previously possible.
As we accept more and more electronic imports
from clients, and as we return more and more data to clients electronically,
.NET will allow us to work even more efficiently with the cutting edge of
data-transfer standards: XML. No longer just a catch-phrase, XML is becoming
widely accepted as the data-interchange format of choice amongst developers,
and is integral to the .NET architecture. By implementing .NET now we are
placing Mueller firmly ahead of the curve.
