Mueller Services is a privately owned homeowner’s insurance survey corporation headquartered in Buffalo, NY. We have been in business for over 25 years servicing the marketplace since 1980. Mueller Services is currently seeking motivated and organized individuals to take on the role of Field Representative for interior and/or exterior liability, condition and valuation surveys. You will evaluate personal and commercial property through measuring, calculating, making premise observations, and making recommendations for each property assigned. Mueller receives work from our customers daily, weekly, monthly, and often in large downloads. Assignments to field representatives are given on a daily and weekly basis, allowing you to make your own hours and create a flexible schedule!

We are looking for reliable, self motivated individuals who are able to fulfill tasks and assignments without any daily supervision. Experience preferred, but Mueller is willing to train qualified candidates. Requirements include a reliable auto, basic math skills, good written/verbal communication, computer with high speed internet connection, and a digital camera.

Where do Field Representatives work?
	Field Representatives work from their home traveling by their car to perform property surveys. Mueller provides its Field Representatives with industry leading technology making the process more efficient, thereby helping Field Representatives earn more. A typical day may include working in the “field” until late afternoon and returning home to "upload" and complete reports on Mueller’s website.

	Mueller survey types include, Brief Exterior, Detailed Exterior, Detailed Interior & Exterior and High Value.
Does Mueller provide both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines survey reports?
	Yes.
Where will my training be held?
	Mueller employees initially train from their own home computer using our online Field Representative Education and Training Program. Mueller employees will then attend an onsite training course at the Mueller headquarters in Tonawanda, NY (unless otherwise specified by the Training Department). Mueller employees will be compensated for completed online training and time spent in the onsite training course. Travel means and hotel accommodation during the onsite training will be provided by Mueller.
What is the purpose of Mueller’s reports?
	Mueller provides underwriting departments with information about their “risks” so that they can have a better understanding of potential replacement cost, hazardous conditions, and overall construction condition. In order to provide this information Field Representatives are asked to provide measurements, condition observations, record construction materials used, and take photographs. Field Representatives then upload this information to Mueller’s website.
Do I need to have experience performing surveys?
	Experience is preferred but not required. Mueller provides excellent training to new hires.
Will I need to perform Commercial Surveys?
	Yes, but not until you’ve received proper training.
Will I need to do a lot of driving?
	While we try to help you make your route efficient, driving is a part of the job. You must own reliable transportation. Usually, depending upon population density, we ask that Field Representatives are familiar with their own county and neighboring ones.
What are the basic desired skills for a Field Representative?
	If the candidate has no Field Representative experience, we’re looking for organized self-starters, good time managers, computer literate, able to read maps, polite, well spoken and have a neat appearance. In addition, a basic understanding of construction techniques and investigative nature are helpful.

Is a non-disclosure and/or non-compete agreement required?
	Mueller deals with some sensitive policyholder information and proprietary information. Therefore, we require that independent contractors agree to our non-disclosure policy. Full and part-time staff must agree to both our non-disclosure and non-compete policies.
